Adams, John

Адамс, Джон (17351826), 2-й президент США (17971801). Один из авторов Декларации независимости. Президентство Адамса отмечено возникновением ряда напряжённых ситуаций в дипломатических отношениях, но ему удалось предотвратить войну с Францией. При нём были приняты законы об иностранцах и об антиправительственной агитации [*Alien and Sedition Acts]
